How breeding happens

Breeding this shrimp can be described as moderately difficult.

Its reproduction does not fully correspond to the specialized type: the relatively small eggs do not hatch into fully developed juveniles, but into larvae that initially live off a yolk sac. After a few days, they moult into juvenile shrimp.

The very small larvae must be protected from fish and the filter intakes must be screened with very fine material.
