Description

A very agile and lively shrimp species from Inle Lake in Myanmar. It can be kept successfully with small and medium-sized fish (I am not aware of any attacks on fish).

These shrimp do not damage plants and are otherwise also well suited to aquascaping requirements (high-intensity lighting, fertilization, CO2).

Planarians, worms and similar creatures in the aquarium are eagerly eaten by Macrobrachium sp. "Inle-See". However, the occasional small snail also ends up in the stomach of these shrimp.

Overall, a very recommendable and beautiful Macrobrachium species.

How breeding happens

relatively easy

juveniles are very large when they hatch

adult males eat juveniles
