Description

Alternanthera reineckii grows up to 10-30 cm in size. Its submerged leaves are approximately 2 cm long and 1 cm wide. Under moderate light, the leaves appear greenish, while under strong light, they turn reddish. This form of A. reineckii requires high lighting conditions, as low lighting can cause lower leaves to die off. It is suitable for use as a foreground or middle-ground plant in aquariums, particularly those with a Dutch-style layout due to its relatively short height and small leaf size, as well as its symmetrical growth habit.
