Description
Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia is the largest variety of Anubias barteri, native to several West African countries. It grows in vast populations on riverbanks and shallow-water zones of rapidly-flowing rivers and rivulets, as well as waterfalls in tropical rainforests. The plants are either rooted or attached to rocks, thriving in sunny to shaded locations. Leaf blades reach up to 24 cm in length, with narrow to wide ovate shapes, developing a heart-shaped basis in older plants. Leaf stalks can grow over 40 cm long, with smooth or slightly undulate margins.
