Anubias barteri "Coffeefolia" or "Coffeifolia" is a variety (var. coffeifolia) of Anubias barteri. It can be distinguished from other A. barteri varieties by its orange-brown sprouting leaves that turn dark green later. The new leaf stalks are brownish red, and the tissue between the lateral veins is strongly arched, resembling coffee bush (Coffea) leaves. This plant grows slowly when cultivated submerged. It has a creeping rhizome and should be bound to rocks or driftwood with twine, attaching itself with its roots. Its emersed form can be decorative in shaded areas of paludaria.
