Description

Aponogeton rigidifolius features undulating leaves with banded patterns that can grow up to 60 cm in length. It thrives in slow- to fast-flowing waters in south-west Sri Lanka. Unlike most Aponogeton species, this plant does not form a bulb but instead develops a long, thin rhizome that branches out. Its name "stiff-leaved Aponogeton" reflects its leaf characteristics. This demanding plant requires high light levels and grows relatively slowly. CO2 injection and adequate water circulation are recommended for optimal cultivation.
