Description

Bacopa myriophylloides originates from eastern and southern parts of Central Brazil, specifically in the Pantanal region where it thrives in shallow, soft water with full sun exposure. This species differs significantly from other Bacopa species. Its leaves appear to form whorls of 10 or more awl-shaped structures, but actually consist of two leaves per node that split into 5-7 segments at the base. As a submersed plant, it requires intense light and can be demanding in cultivation. In contrast, emersed cultivation is relatively easy and allows for the development of white to pale blue flowers on long stalks.
