Description

Cryptocoryne "pigmea" is a small-growing aquatic plant that has been marketed by Anubias company as Cryptocoryne "pigmea". It is not related to Cryptocoryne pygmaea or Cryptocoryne palawanensis, which are native to the Philippines. According to Anubias company's information, it is a mutation of Cryptocoryne x willisii from in vitro culture. The plant has medium to dark green, elongated-ovate leaves that grow up to 5 cm tall submersed under favourable light conditions, similar in size to Cryptocoryne parva but with wider leaf blades. It forms underground runners like other C. x willisii forms and C. parva.
