Description
Cryptocoryne lingua is a water trumpet that grows up to 15 cm tall. Its leaves are spatulate to ovate, measuring 2-7 cm long and 1-3.5 cm wide. The upper surface of the leaves is waxy and smooth, with a light green color. The stem reaches 4-10 cm in length, similar to or longer than the leaf blade. This species is native to the Malaysian part of Borneo (Sarawak) and inhabits freshwater tidal zones near the coast, where it is regularly flooded by tides. It can be cultivated emersed in loamy substrate.
