Description

Cryptocoryne palawanensis is a plant native to the Philippines. It has been known for many years and has been mistaken for Cryptocoryne pygmaea Merrill (1919). C. palawanensis occurs in rivers and streams with hard water, both emersed on banks and submerged in deeper water. The plant grows small (5-8 cm) when emersed and up to 25 cm when submerged. Emersed leaves are lanceolate, while submerged leaves are linear with wavy edges and brown-green tones.
