Description

Cryptocoryne usteriana is a large aquatic plant that can grow up to 70 cm tall. It naturally occurs submerged in rivers on the Philippine island of Guimaras. The larger C. aponogetifolia was previously confused with C. usteriana, leading many cultivated plants being labeled as C. usteriana but actually being C. aponogetifolia. True C. usteriana prefers hard water and its size makes it suitable for Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi Chichlid tanks.
