Description

Echinodorus 'Apart' is a low-growing, dark green sword plant variety that resembles Echinodorus opacus and E. portoalegrensis. It has lower demands than these wild forms and grows faster, although it is still a relatively slow grower. This variety was bred by Hans Barth in 1994 and is a hybrid of E. uruguayensis "horemanii rot" and E. portoalegrensis. Its leaves are ovate to lanceolate, firm, and dark green with lighter-colored veins.
