Description
Echinodorus 'Dschungelstar' No. 3, also known as Echinodorus 'Python', is a hybrid bred by Julius Hoechstetter in the early 1990s. Its distinguishing feature is its low-growing leaf rosette, which reaches 10 to 20 cm in height. The submersed leaves are narrowly elliptic, olive green with dark red oblong spots similar to Echinodorus maculatus 'Leopard'. New leaves may have a brownish-red color under intense lighting conditions. The leaf blades measure 10 to 15 cm long and 2.5 to 3.5 cm wide when submerged. Emersed plants exhibit light green leaves with weak red spots and a slightly undulate margin.
