Description

Echinodorus 'Hot Pepper' is a variety bred by crossing E. 'Red Flame' and E. 'Kleiner Baer' at ZooLogiCa in Altlandsberg near Berlin. Its distinguishing features include bright red leaves with light green longitudinal veins and an undulate margin. This variety grows smaller, making it suitable for foreground planting, with leaf blades reaching up to 20 cm in length and 3 cm in width. The leaves are attached to a short stalk, but the plant can grow up to 40 cm tall overall.
