Description

Echinodorus osiris is considered by some authorities to be a variable species, possibly synonymous with E. uruguayensis. However, there are indications it may be a natural hybrid of E. uruguayensis and another unknown species. It was collected from only a few locations in southeastern Brazil's rivers with strong currents.
