Description
Elodea canadensis, or American waterweed, is a well-known aquarium plant. It was widely used in aquaria but is now more commonly found in ponds due to its rapid reproduction rate. Introduced to Europe from North America in the 19th century, populations of E. canadensis declined sharply and are now rarely found in nature.
