Description

Fissidens crispulus, also known as F. zippelianus, is an aquarium moss that originated in the Asian tropics and Africa, where it grows in spring sources and wet locations. Its leaf shape is reminiscent of a zipper, which is reflected in its scientific name and common name "zipper moss". This delicate species has small leaves (approximately 2 mm long) on relatively long stems (up to 3.5 cm).
