Description

Helanthium sp. "Longifolius" is a medium-sized sword plant that forms runners. It has narrow, grass-like leaves that grow taller than some other Helanthium species but shorter than others. The submersed leaves are not always band-shaped, but narrow towards the base and form a stalk-like part. This distinguishes it from similar-looking plants like Helanthium sp. "Angustifolius". The emersed leaves are smaller and lanceolate in shape. The plant produces runners quickly, forming long internodes that can be reddish in color.
