Description

Heteroscyphus zollingeri is a foliose liverwort native to the Asian tropics, found in various moist habitats. It's often cultivated in aquaria under the name "Pearl Moss". It resembles Chiloscyphus and Lophocolea species. In 2009, it was identified as Heteroscyphus zollingeri by Prof. S.R. Gradstein from aquatic plant trade. This liverwort is not naturally aquatic but grows relatively fast in aquariums making it suitable for cultivation.
