Description
Hygrophila sp. 'Tiger' is an aquarium plant characterized by its distinct leaf pattern. It originates from South America, although its exact origin remains unknown. The plant grows to a comparable size and rate as Hygrophila polysperma, with a similar growth habit. It is undemanding and tolerant of various conditions. However, it can display interesting colors when grown in high light and with ample micronutrient supply. Emersed cultivation is easy under normal conditions. With proper care, the plant grows compactly and can be pruned to form a dense bush. It is also suitable as a background plant.
