Description

Lagarosiphon madagascariensis, originating from Madagascan waters, is a fast-growing plant that requires warm, soft water rich in CO2 and sufficient light (at least 0.75 watts per liter) to thrive. It also needs macro- and micronutrients such as NO3 (5-15 mg/l), PO4 (1-2 mg/l), and iron to maintain its green color. Under optimal conditions, this stem plant can grow rapidly and may become invasive in the tank if not trimmed regularly. Trimming is necessary to maintain a bushy shape and prevent irregular growth. The plant's filigree growth habit makes it suitable for background planting in small aquaria.
