Description

Lagenandra meeboldii originates from shaded marshy riverbanks in Karnataka and Kerala, India, at elevations up to 1200 meters above sea level. The species exhibits variations in size, leaf form, and color. Green and red varieties have been cultivated emersedly in botanical gardens and as paludarium plants by hobbyists. Notably, the red variety can be kept continuously submerged in aquariums.
