Description

Limnophila heterophylla has finely pinnate leaves when grown underwater, similar to L. indica and L. sessiliflora. This characteristic can only be distinguished from these species by examining their above-water forms and flower characteristics. Limnophila heterophylla is native to the Asian tropics and subtropics, found in Pakistan, China, and Borneo, typically growing in rivulets, rice paddies, and ponds with hard to soft water.
