Description

Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata 'Pantanal' is a plant species characterized by its finely structured leaves. It originates from the Pantanal wetlands in southwestern Brazil and has an emersed form with green ovate leaves, but its submersed form displays intensively pink to red leaves. This plant requires high light intensity (at least 0.75 watt per litre), high CO2 content (25-30 mg/l), regular addition of nitrate (5-15 mg/l) and phosphate (1-2 mg/l), as well as iron and micronutrients for healthy growth. It prefers soft water with a low dGH (6 or below) and an acidic substrate containing peat. Under strong light, it grows vertically and requires regular trimming to maintain its appearance.
