Description

Lysimachia nummularia, also known as moneywort or creeping Jenny, is native to Europe but has been introduced into North America. It thrives in moist environments, such as riverbanks, lakeshores, and pond edges, as well as alluvial forests and forest mires. This plant can be used ornithologically in gardens and is suitable for edging garden ponds or as ground cover on non-moist soil. In early summer, it produces many golden yellow flowers. Additionally, Lysimachia nummularia can be cultivated submersed and has been used as an aquarium plant since the early days of aquaristics.
