Description
This milfoil, Myriophyllum aquaticum 'Santa Catarina', originates from Santa Catarina state in southeastern Brazil. It has lower cultivation demands compared to the standard form of M. aquaticum and exhibits distinct visual differences: leaves have fewer pinnae and a lighter green color, which can turn reddish-brown under intense light. This variety also grows less frequently out of water than others. Its growth habit resembles that of Myriophyllum mattogrossense, with emersed sprouts being smaller than those of the standard form.
