Description

Myriophyllum pinnatum originates from eastern USA, where it grows in shallow waters or muddy lake and pond edges as well as marsh woods. It has been cultivated and traded for a long time under the name Myriophyllum hippuroides. The green to red stems support finely pinnate green leaves that grow alternately rather than solely in whorls. The short distances between nodes and leaves result in dense foliage.
