Description

Ottelia ulvifolia is an aquatic plant that can grow up to 50 cm long and 10 cm wide, with undulate to spiralling leaves that are slightly transparent. Its leaves resemble those of Ulva, a green marine alga. The species is found in African tropical waterbodies, including Madagascar. It has multiple forms, one being an aquarium plant with light green leaves featuring a reddish brown marbled pattern or small horizontal lines.
