Description

Pogostemon yatabeanus is a stem plant native to Japan. It has a growth habit and size similar to Pogostemon stellatus "Broad Leaf". Unlike the latter, its leaves retain their light green color even under intense lighting conditions. This species can grow rapidly when exposed to strong light, CO2 injection, and regular fertilization. It is well-suited for large aquariums, where it provides a beautiful contrast against similar-looking plants with distinct colors such as Pogostemon stellatus "Broad Leaf" and Limnophila aromatica.
