Description

Proserpinaca pectinata is a plant native to North America, found in eastern Canada and the USA. It is closely related to P. palustris and is sold by aquatic nurseries in the USA, although it may not be available in Europe yet. The main difference between Proserpinaca pectinata and P. palustris is the shape of their leaves, which have fine pinnae on both emergent and submerged forms, similar to milfoil species (Myriophyllum). In contrast, the emergent leaves of P. palustris are usually unparted with a serrated margin.
