Description

This plant was introduced as Tonina sp. 'Manaus', but is now known to belong to the genus Syngonanthus due to research by Cavan Allen. Christel Kasselmann compared samples with the isotype of Syngonanthus inundatus, suggesting that S. sp. 'Manaus' likely belongs to this species; however, the plant lacked an inflorescence, making safe identification impossible.
