Description
Utricularia vulgaris, or common bladderwort, is native to Europe, Northern Africa, and temperate Asia. It forms long rootless stems underwater in ponds and pools, with finely ramified "leaves" bearing numerous bladder traps and yellow flowers that resemble snapdragons above the waterline during summer. Its inflorescence distinguishes it from other Utricularia species, such as Utricularia australis.
